Passport Stamps is a collection of poetry written by Maria Baza (formally known as Melanie Moon). The collection documents her life from two months old all the way to twenty-four years old. She believes that poetry is an outlet to truly express oneself into words. Her poetry is unlike the rest. She uses the metaphoric aspects of love as a tool to write her poems. Just like in “Landline” where Maria describes her feelings about a long distance relationship. In “Dirty Game”, Maria describes the love as a sexuality. In “Red”, Maria describes what it feels like to be in a blind relationship. And finally, in “Joan of Arc”, Maria describes what it feel like to lose in a lover’s battlefield and the feeling of a “Salem Witch”.
